Privacy
This site handles claim information, some of it medical. Here is what we ask for, what we do not want, and what we are not claiming.
The short version: send less, not more
Give us only what relates to your claim. If a detail is not needed to understand it, we would rather not have it.
What we ask for
- Your name, email and mobile number
- Your insurer, TPA, policy and claim numbers
- What has happened and what you have been told
- Documents you choose to send by email afterwards
What we never want
- Passwords or OTPs
- PINs of any kind, including your UPI PIN
- Full card or bank account numbers
Please also avoid sending Aadhaar or PAN numbers and bank statements unless a document genuinely needs them. If a necessary document contains such details, mask the parts that are not needed.
How we use it
To understand your claim, reply to you, and help you prepare your correspondence. Not for advertising. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with your insurer, TPA or hospital — you deal with them yourself. It may be disclosed if required by law.
Where it goes
This site is hosted by Netlify, and both forms use Netlify's form handling. What you submit is stored there and emailed to us at listen@claimsathi.org. Documents you send later go through our email provider. These are third-party services with their own privacy practices.
What we are not claiming
We would rather be honest than impressive. We are not claiming any particular encryption standard, security certification or audit; not claiming your data stays in a particular country; not claiming a guaranteed deletion period; and not claiming certification under any regulatory framework. If such measures are implemented later, this page will be updated to describe them accurately.
No document upload on this website
The form deliberately does not accept files, because storing medical documents properly needs infrastructure that has not been built yet. Documents are shared by email, after we reply.
Keeping and deleting
We keep claim correspondence for as long as it is needed to help you, and for a reasonable period after that in case you come back about the same claim. We have not fixed a set retention period, and we are not going to state one we do not actually follow. You can ask us to delete what you sent at any time, by writing to listen@claimsathi.org. Some copies may remain in ordinary email backups for a period.
Your choices
You may ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or stop at any time.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads.
Who operates this site
ClaimSaathi is operated as an independent, voluntary initiative in India. For any privacy question, or to ask what information of yours we hold, write to listen@claimsathi.org.
