About ClaimSaathi
A free, independent initiative that helps people in India handle their health insurance claim communication.
Why it exists
Health insurance claims can involve many emails, documents, queries and policy terms. It can be difficult for an individual policyholder to understand what the insurer is asking and how to respond — usually at the worst possible time, during or just after a hospitalisation.
ClaimSaathi was created to help.
We assist policyholders in understanding claim-related communications and preparing clear responses. We do not promise that a claim will be approved. Our aim is simply to help people handle their claim communication properly and present their case clearly.
We are
- An independent claim assistance initiative
- Free for everyone we assist
- Focused on health insurance claims in India
We are not
- An insurance company, intermediary or TPA
- A hospital, IRDAI or the Insurance Ombudsman
- A law firm — this is not legal advice
How it stays free
There is no consultation fee, success fee, commission or percentage of any claim amount. We do not sell insurance, we are not paid by any insurer, TPA or hospital, and we earn nothing from the outcome of your claim. The work is carried on voluntarily.
A word on expectations
We do not assume that every rejected claim has been wrongly rejected. Some claims fall outside what the policy covers, and saying so plainly is more useful than encouraging months of dispute. Where we think that is the position, we will tell you — and where a claim deserves a response, we will help you prepare one.
Who is behind ClaimSaathi?
ClaimSaathi is an independent initiative created to provide free assistance to health insurance policyholders in India.
Our purpose is simple: to help people understand claim-related communications from insurers and TPAs, organise their information, and prepare clear responses or representations where appropriate.
ClaimSaathi does not charge a consultation fee, success fee or percentage of your claim.
We do not promise or guarantee any claim outcome. The policyholder remains in control of the claim and communicates directly with the insurance company.
